A quaint stone cottage in Brittany
This nicely updated cottage makes us want to move to Brittany, France! It is located in a small hamlet in the Breton countryside.
The stone cottage has an open living area with the staircase separating the eat-in kitchen from the sitting room.
White plaster walls help keep the space bright despite having only two fairly small windows. The white walls are accented by the wood tones of the staircase, the open beam ceiling and the kitchen cabinets.
A woodstove installed in the original fireplace hearth should keep the room cozy.
The bathroom is on the ground floor, accessed through the kitchen. Beside it is a utility and storage room.
The upstairs bedroom takes up the entire attic space, but the central location of the stairs would allow it to be easily divided into two bedrooms, each with its own skylight.
The cottage was recently listed for sale with a price of €55,000, but has since been sold.

Great pictures! What a lovely cottage and ideal location. Yes, it does prompt one to move there.
Absolutely beautiful!
Very beautiful and cheap selling price compared to housing here in NZ.
OMG ! Somebody read my mind ! Love It ! Stone/Rock houses are pretty popular in here in North Carolina, my grandfather was a rock mason.
This cottage, of course, is beyond adorable. But . . . I never understand European aesthetics: rustic exterior but basically modern interior (kitchen & bathroom/shower). If only they kept the same rustic feel on the inside . . .
