DublDom, a modular tiny house from Russia | BIO Architects
Our first tiny house from Russia, DublDom (“double house”) is a modular dwelling designed by BIO Architects and fabricated not far from Moscow. There are two DublDom models, the 26 m2 (280 ft2) version shown here and its 40 m2 (431 ft2) sibling.
The smaller DublDom is trucked to the building site in two main pieces, plus the choice of a deck or a covered porch. There is also an optional storage module that attaches to the back of the house.
The completed house is a gabled structure clad in dark gray metal, with one fully-glazed end opening to the deck/porch. The inside is finished with wood on all surfaces, giving it very much of a cozy cabin feel. And while it certainly would make a great little vacation cabin, DublDom is designed for full-time living. It comes insulated, wired and plumbed with all the fixtures installed, and even the wood furnishings can be included.
DublDom is only available within Russia. Our Russian readers will be able to get more information from the DublDom website.
Note that the photos show several houses, but they are all the same model. Enjoy!
