Love all the warmth and wood but I think I’d do “Dutch Doors” instead of two regular ones. Also, keeping your doors and windows open at night draws bugs to all that light shining out into the yard. A screened door would be needed but these doors open out instead of in so that wouldn’t work. What about netting that could be folded up to one side (inside the house) and then “snapped” into place, keeping the doors open but the bugs out?
When one choses to live in the forest, one choses to embrace a few bugs to take in the solitude, sounds of nature, and quiet beauty around him. I grew up in the country with no electricity or running water and no worries about bugs. It is a lifestyle choice. One focusses on other things like sitting on the porch listening to the crickets.
