I like this idea very much. I am 72 & my husband 74. I really would like to do something like this. I would need a one story, elevator or one of the chairs that attaches to a stair case. What other ideas do you have? Thanks, Mary
Hi Mary! I think you have covered all the options. We would probably pick a one story design ourselves. One thing we like about two story homes is how they separate the private and public spaces. That separation is harder to achieve with only one floor. I’d look for a design that has an open living area but puts the bedroom down a short hallway for privacy. A good example of that is the Fish Creek Guest House.
