Wesleyan Grove is a historic community in the town of Oak Bluffs on Martha’s Vineyard. Also known as the Campgrounds, it began as a Methodist Church campground in the 1860′s. Church members would camp there in the summers and hold open air revival meetings. With time people started to build small cottages. Most are not insulated being intended for summer use only. Many were very ornate with applied moldings and painted in bright colors. Wesleyan Grove is now a designated National Historic Landmark District.
