His clients asked architect Matej Gasperic of Biro Gasperic to design a sustainable and affordable house for their young family. The compact size of the design contributes to both goals. Two bedrooms are provided in 100 m2 (1,076 ft2). The floors and walls were prefabricated in a factory, allowing strict quality control over the construction process and ensuring that the clients’ energy efficiency goals were met while also minimizing waste. Using the prefabricated panels, the shell of the house was assembled in just a few days.
