Designer Lynne Knowlton decided she wanted needed a tree fort…
Where else are we going to have pajama parties ? Where else can we eat popcorn for dinner ? Where else are we going to go when we want to hide from the kids, or the dinner dishes ? Duh …the tree fort. Who says tree forts are only for kids ?
So she bought the remnants of her neighbor’s barn, destroyed by a tornado, and hired a builder. Her contractor Chris delivered…complete with sleeping loft, dormers and wood stove…
Oh, yah, the fort kinda got away from me !
Since then Lynne has added custom railings, a kitchenette complete with sink, and a slide…

How much did it cost to make that?! It looks amazing. I need one like that.

It is amazing isn’t it? I’m afraid we don’t know the cost. You might try asking the owner via her blog… http://www.lynneknowlton.com/category/our-treehouse/. Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Jean, I’m afraid we don’t have any plans for Lynne’s tree house. Please check Lynne’s blog http://www.lynneknowlton.com/category/our-treehouse/ or contact her for more information.
Thanks for reading!

Hi Lynne, I came across you on facebook. You did a wonderful job, I also built a treehouse 2008.I have pictures.I lived in it for a full year, with very little amenities. I was at Barnes and Noble with my two daughters and my oldest showed me a book on treehouses and that intrigued me so I bought the book and the rest is history.
Thank you for reinspiring me after seeing your treehouse..
Sincerely Jon.
